Christian Doppler laboratories

Christian Doppler laboratories are a funding scheme established by the Christian Doppler Research Association to promote fruitful and innovative cooperations between science and industry. At the moment, there are two prospering Christian Doppler laboratories at the University of Salzburg:

  • The Christian Doppler laboratory for Biosimilar Characterization is a research cooperation between the University of Salzburg and the two companies Sandoz (Kundl, Austria) and Thermo Fisher Scientific (San Jose, USA). The aim of this research project is to explore and develop innovative tools for the characterization of biotechnologically produced proteins.
  • The aim of the Christian Doppler laboratory for Contextual Interfaces is to explore, analyse and improve human-computer interaction to develop intuitive and innovative operating concepts with a special focus on human-computer interaction in the context of cars and factories.
  • News
    Dr. Alisauskiene is holding a lecture in the summer term 2020 regarding "Religion in Central and Eastern Europe after the fall of Berlin wall: individuals, institutions and politics". The course will be held in English.
    On the 21st of February 2020, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daniel Ruzek will hold a talk on "Antiviral therapy of tick-borne encephalitis: current options and challenges". It will take place at 11 am in the seminar room 103 at the first floor of Billrothstrasse 11. The Department of Biosciences cordially invites all listeners!
