The Refugee Project of the ÖH Salzburg includes a language cafe, city walking tours and the “Buddy” system. The language café is intended to help students learn and improve their German language skills. The city walking tours focus on institutions and places which are relevant to the refugees. The city walks are offered in several languages including Kurdish, Arabic and Turkish, and are supported with specially developed city maps. “Buddies” commit themselves to accompanying and helping the refugees as they become more familiar with everyday life here.

In some cases, proficient brass or percussion players may be considered. Rehearsals take place every Tuesday in the Audimax of the Faculty of Natural Sciences.  Interested musicians can contact the Artistic Director, Martin Fuchsberger (m.a.fuchsberger(at)gmail.com), or Christine Blume (christine.blume(at)sbg.ac.at) regardless of the availability of an instrument.
