Doc-scholarship 38.000 € per year; 24-36 months

Marie Andeßner scholarship 23.600 €; exclusively for women; 12 months

Scholarships from the University of Salzburg 600 € per month; exclusively for EU-citizens; 6-7 months

Senator-Otto-Wittschier scholarship 500 € per month, for work on business ethics, 12-24 months

Ernst Mach Scholarship for doctoral students from other institutions who would like to visit our department. 940 € per month, 1–9 months

    The Long Night of Research will take place, for the first time digitally, on the 9th October 2020.
    The Africa-UniNet project call 2020 is now open(project start: 01st March 2021).
    Salzburg biologists Anja Hörger and Stephanie Socher receive 150,000 Euros in funding for their courageous project idea within the framework of the new “1000 ideas program” from the Austrian Science Fund FWF. Over the next two years the young scientists “Immortal Titans”, will analyze the huge genome of the Titan Arum, the largest flower in the world. The “1000 Ideas Programme” is intended to support high-risk research in order to increase Austria's innovative strength.
    Farid Hafez, Senior PostDoc Fellow in the Department of Political Science receives the ‘Islam on the Edges’-Grant from Shenandoah University/USA.
    Roman Wild is the new head of the specialist workshop of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Mr Wild has already worked in the specialist workshop for 5 ½ years and previously worked as a product manager (in the field of customer service and repairs) at Hale electronic.
    We are pleased to invite you to our virtual consultation hours at the Department of Slavic Studies. During these consultation hours, which will be held online via Webex-Meetings you will be able to ask all the questions you have on the degree courses offered by the Department of Slavic Studies - BA Slavonic Studies, BA Language-Economy-Culture (Polish, Russian, Czech) and teaching degrees for the Russian language.
    During the time of Corona, in particular, it became clear just how important it is to support students digitally in their every day university life. The project „On Track“ – stay on track combines digital and social worlds. It is starting at the right time!

    150 participants have already taken the opportunity to register for more than 50 courses on IT and digitialisation at the ditact_women's IT summer studies at the University of Salzburg, which will take place from the 01.09.-12.09.2020.Registration is still possible until the 12. July and then the remaining places will be taken as last minute reservations.
