Admission Requirements In order to be admitted to the Bachelor's degree course in
Sport Science and Kinesiology, applicants must hold the
'Matura' or another higher education entrance qualification,
and successfully pass the supplementary examination
which assesses students' kinetic skills and abilities.
Moreover, students must have basic alpine skiing skills.

What will I learn?

The Bachelor's degree course in Sports Science and Kinesiology comprises the fields of competitive sport, popular sport, exercise and fitness, prevention and exercise therapy. You will gain an overview of the problems related to sports and exercise as well as evidence-based approaches to solving these problems and their physical, mental and social context. Furthermore, you will acquire comprehensive science-based skills relevant for sports, for example diagnostic and training methods for various target groups.

Which career opportunities do I have?

Possible occupations for graduates of the Bachelor's degree course in Sport Science and Kinesiology include: sport-scientific consultation (regulated trade); occupations in sports facilities, associations and health clubs; sports and exercise facilities for children, adolescents, adults and older people to promote people's health in the fields of high-performance sport, recreational sport, trend sports and event sports; sports and exercise programmes for workplace health promotion; event and leisure tourism; the development and production of sports equipment; healthcare; basic scientific occupations in the field of exercise and sports; exercise therapy (please take note of the additional requirements in the context of the Master's degree course!).
