What will I learn?

In the MA degree course in Slavonic Language Sciences, students deepen the basic knowledge acquired during their BA degree course, hone their skills for the analysis of linguistic phenomena and sociolinguistic situations, and learn to apply established and approved methods of Slavonic linguistics. Students can choose to specialize in either Russian, Polish or Czech. Students have a good command of at least two of the offered languages; the target level for their first chosen language is C1, the target level for their second/third chosen language(s) is A2.

Which career opportunities do I have?

Graduates of the MA degree course in Slavonic Language Sciences are able to choose from a wide range of occupations: academic research and teaching, adult education in the fields of foreign languages, academic library work and publishing (e.g., expert editing, acceptance, programming); language and culture mediation; translation in the media/advertising industry and PR (economy, tourism, or in international enterprises working with Eastern European countries).
