Admission Requirements | Matura or school leaving certificate (e.g., Abitur (GER), GCE levels (UK), Diplome du Baccalaureat de l'Enseignement du Second Degre (F), Titulo de Bachiller (E), Attestat (RSF)), which is comparable in length and quality to the Austrian Matura. Students may have to take supplementary examinations in Latin and Greek within the first semesters of their degree course. |
What will I learn?
The diploma degree course in Catholic Theology imparts knowledge from all disciplines of theology: philosophy, as well as biblical, historical, methodical and practical theology. Students learn various academic methods to interpret Bible texts and traditional texts. By doing so, they strengthen their ability to argument and judge in discussions about the church and society. They also deepen their knowledge about other religions, spiritualities and Weltanschauungen. They reflect the changing cultural contexts of faith in a globalized world. Graduates are qualified to enrol on a doctorate degree course in Catholic Theology.

Manifold occupations in ecclesiastical institutions such as parishes, child and youth work, adult education, hospital chaplaincy, media work, NGOs, etc.
