COVID-19 Update (26.11.2020):

Please note that you can only receive financial aid for a physical stay in the country of your host institution. You may switch from on-site to virtual exchange as long as you are still physically present in the host country.

In addition to the regular application documents, each  PLUS scholarship applicant must sign a declaration of personal responsibility (in German OR English version) and submit it with the remaining application documents:

Erklärung zur Eigenveranwortung

Applicant’s Declaration for a Subsidised Stay Abroad

Due to the unpredictability of the spread of SARS-CoV-2, all interested parties are advised to inform themselves independently about the current travel information for the destination country:

https://www.bmeia.gv.at/reise-aufenthalt/reisewarnungen/

The University of Salzburg advises not to travel to countries for which travel warnings have been issued.

If the participant travels to a risky area, PLUS will not be liable for any damages that may occur. It is expressly pointed out that a possible repatriation by the state is not guaranteed and that a travel health insurance may lose its validity.
