DIGITAL WELCOME FOLDER
All exchange students receive a welcome folder at the beginning of their studies at the University of Salzburg. This is usually handed over personally in our office and contains some additional documents for the beginning of the semester. This semester we cannot give you the folders as usual. Therefore, we have tried to compile the most important contents in digital form. These documents provide additional information to the session during the orientation weeks.
Have fun looking through them!

COVID-19 Update
09/02/2021 |
---|
The Corona situation continues to require a restriction of face-to-face teaching.
The rectorate decided to conduct teaching and examinations in a distance-learning format throughout the summer semester. Courses that cannot be substituted online (e.g. laboratory exercises) remain exempt from this.
Further updates will be published on the University of Salzburg and office website. We ask for your understanding and support. Students and staff planning travels to Salzburg/Austria or from Salzburg to other countries should stay aware of the latest information on the COVID-19 outbreak and may behave as recommended by national, local authorities. Should you need any advice on problems with your mental wellbeing, please seek free supporthere. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. |
Brexit
05.01.2021 |
---|
1st January 2021: a new agreement for relations between the United Kingdom and the European Union has come into force. The International Relations Department has prepared a document with the most important information on the changes concerning the entry or stay of British citizens in Austria, as well as links for further information on planning study or research stays in Great Britain, the British government's plans concerning the association of the United Kingdom with Horizon Europe, and much more. We have included official sources (websites) on post-Brexit updates and implications of the new trade agreement - it is therefore a "work in progress". Draft: Info on Brexit after 1 January 2021 We would welcome any comments, suggestions for additions and feedback via email: international(at)sbg.ac.at Kind regards, Peter Mayr |
ERASMUS IN THE UK Due to the contractual provisions between the European Commission and the UK, the following applies to the PLUS and its outgoing students: An Erasmus exchange with all currently existing partnerships in the UK is possible, provided that the stay is completed by 31 May 2022 at the latest. A planned stay in the UK beyond 31.05.2022 is generally possible (after consultation with the respective partner institution) but will no longer be funded by the Erasmus program. Funding programmes and opportunities beyond this are currently the subject of negotiations. |
