12 December: 4th Film Series "Filmclub Horizonte Slawistyka, Slavistika, Cлавистика"

The Department of Slavonic Studies, together with the cultural center DAS KINO, would like to cordially invite you for the fourth part of the successful cinema series of the East and Central European films. The film club "Slawistyka, Slavistika, Cławistika" presents award-winning current Polish, Russian and Czech films with social and political themes.

Barrierefreiheit: Kurzbeschreibung des Bildes

Am 12.12.2019, um 18 h wird der tschechische Film "Všechno bude / Winter Flies" von Olmo Omerzu gezeigt, der mit wunderschönen Bildern die Geschichte einer Odyssee zweier Jugendlicher erzählt, die einmal aus ihrem Alltag ausbrechen und einfach von zu Hause weg wollen. "Winter Flies" wird im DAS KINO auf Tschechisch mit deutschen Untertiteln zu sehen sein.

Den Schlusspunkt der Reihe setzt am 9.01.2020, um 18 h der weißrussische Film und Kandidat zum Oscarpreis 2019 Хрусталь / Crystal Swan von Darya Zhuk. In ihrem Filmdebüt erzählt die Regisseurin über eine junge weißrussische Frau, die in den 90ern davon träumt, nach Chicago zu ziehen.Sprachlich wird der Film auf Weissrussisch mit englischen Untertiteln gezeigt werden.

Zu jedem Film gibt es vor der Vorführung eine kurze Einleitung. Die Tickets sind an der Kasse im DAS KINO zu erwerben, auch im Vorverkauf. Der Eintrittspreis für Studierende mit einem gültigen Ausweis beträgt 6 Euro.

    Researchers in the Department of Geoinformatics at the PLUS have been working for several years on national and international research projects on topics sich as humanitarian management, refugee management, natural disasters as well as COVID-19. They have analysed and evaluated billions of geo-referenced social media data. The results serve stakeholders as an important basis for decision making.
    Gabriele Spilker, Professor of Empirical Research Methods at the Department of Political Science at the University of Salzburg, was awarded the Ars Docendi State Prize for excellent teaching at Austrian universities yesterday evening in Vienna. The prize is awarded in five categories each endowed with 7,000 euros. Spilker is the winner in the category "Learning outcomes examination culture and its anchoring in the course"
    With the merger of the careers and start up divisions we are extending our proven Career Center programme with the aim of arousing interest in founding and supporting those interested in founding a company.
    The 6th annual conference on 6.migration and integration research in Austria took place from the 16 to 18 September at the der University of Salzburg – partly in person, partly online. A resolution for the reception of refugees from Moria was approved.
