Pregnant women repeatedly singing the same children's nursery rhymes to their unborn babies can have a positive effect. Babies are already learning in the mothers’ bodies; they distinguish sounds and syllables, and they respond to the mother's voice in particular. After birth, babies remember what they heard. Researchers from the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Salzburg (Faculty of Psychology) were able to provide important insights in a large-scale study. |
